Anime Titles are Getting Weird These Days

With the sheer amount of titles that are produced i think the idea is to put the shows plot in the name so you can tell instantly if you will like it or not

i agreee. they are so weird that i dont even know whats going on. dont really like the new titles

Could it be something to do with direct translation from Japanese to other languages?

The meta for today's anime industry is to make a light novel online, then it gets picked up as a manga, and then in becomes an anime. The problem is light novel platforms are overpopulated, so in order for any author to gain any attention, they have to resort to clickbaity techniques. Making your title a summary of your plot is an unfortunately effective way to achieve that.
