The smashed bottle method is a universal working method.
Some companies are easier with refunds than others, but worst case scenario you transfer the perfume to another bottle and send then the real broken bottle back.

Huge fail they flat out do not take responsibility nor believed the perfume could have been damaged. After looking at their Trustpilot reviews their are countless people in the same position the ‘universal method’ does have its flaw

Ive been doing this to loads of UK sites recently and works like a charm, only one that has been a bitch is flannels who will ask you to take pictures with the receipt among other really annoying things, would suggest you stay away from doing that website if you don't have a broken bottle on hand

I would add that the fragrance shop are a pain to deal with aswell so would avoid them.
