Also, no matter how good of a liar you belive, or appear to be from the outside, that is not what is being monitored by the lie detector.

I can keep a straight face and lie my way out of just about any situation, but the second they connect you to a polygraph, your fucked mate.

It monitors your heart rate and sweat, and compares that back to the trick questions they asked you at the start.

It takes a LOT of control to pass a lie detector.

Like I said, it is not your demeanor that is monitored by the detector, it dosent matter if you were "calm" or not, subconsciously your heart rate would increase because of the lie you are telling, added to the stress of who you are lying to, and the possible consequences of your actions, and you have the perfect signals that would be picked up by the lie detector.

Lie detectors are infact not a legal way if telling you are lying an many countries. They are just a tool used so the law can just say 'look the machine says you not telling us the truth' and get you too fess up. The results are not court admitable evidence.
