SMS masking?

Hi there,
Is there any tutorial on how to mask a burner number so the text comes through masked?
When sending sms from a burner, the subject will see the number, is there anyway to mask this?

Usually when an SMS comes from a service like Facebook it will come from a 5 digit number ( 323-43). How is this possible?

Typically when you get an "auto-response" from somewhere like Google, Facebook etc, It's from a service that hosts the sms responder. I won't go in too deep because that won't answer your question. (Neither should you).
Your best bet to not getting your identity "figured out" using a burner would be to use a service such as... Spooftel (paid) or even use Pinger aka textfree. They have a desktop web UI that's free, and signup using fake creds. (Make sure you use a VPN and or TOR Browser to mask your identity.

Thanks I actually used the Burner app on my cell phone. Burner number. Is that a bad thing?

A simplified example Is a short code virtual number, which (depending on the provider/service) are with or without hyphens.

Some 5 digit virtual numbers are In fact the extension of It's long code (full length) number.
