isp internet redirect bypass and access to port 53 - consistent667 - 05-10-2017

I didn't play my bill again on time and my isp was routing me to a

page

so let's bypass that.

I have an old huawei router notorious for being vulnerable in every way.
lets download the config and check the configurable setting
here's the line i found
Hidden Content

to stop them overriding your dns change it to

Hidden Content

upload the config and wait for the modem to restart.

Hidden Content
tadaaaa!

now dns tunnel or set up a udp vpn on port 53 and you have internet back.

also found a setting for
Hidden Content
MAYBE could change it for
Hidden Content
to use a tcp connection over port 53 aswell
bu this is beyond what i need.

Have a nice day

This can be quite usefull. I'm sure not every router and ISP will do it in the same way, but this can be very helpfull if they use the same techniques.

Good work to put the DNS server listening port 53 to good use.

Let's hope your ISP doesn't track your movements and try to hit you with costs for utilizing their service on a non-paid account.

My isp is notoriously bad at doing anything apart from giving you a username and password + router
doubt they would be bothered just a bunch of salesmen with powdered noses.

they did changed the filters around the time i posted(hmm), had to rework
added set WANPPP dns to local 192.168.1.1 aswell, to get it running again
and also need to give *isp*.com a hit in the browser before the bypass initiated
i am having lots of fun these days

got it paid now, just using this till they 'reconnect' me lol.

Have a nice day

yup i know

i got away with free internet from *isp* for a month.
#requirements any old blocked user account and any old *isp* router (usually have accounts hardcoded)

it was a laugh to know some poor soul had too reconfig a nationwide wan network to block just me XD

but now i have a legit connection again from the same details i was using in the hack lol.

and no, the MI5 did not black army helicopter my home and take my computer.

am trying to get some custom firmware on a router so i can get some more access to the networks not available to the router clients.
i bet there are some services the tech's have setup behind the bosses back that i could find.

Have a nice day
